Rives on the Road

The Rives Theatre was an awesome, intimate music venue in uptown Martinsville, VA. In 2019, an unfortunate fire consumed the beloved Rives Theatre has forced the organization to adapt quickly to continue delivering first-class musical entertainment. Out of the ashes of the Rives Theatre, Rives on the Road was born! 'Rives on the Road' has been extremely successful with each performance hosted at a unique venue suited to the desired atmosphere of the artist. Past locations have included Pop’s Farm, The Heritage Conference and Events Center, Blackbox Theatre and the Bassett Train Depot. We will continue offering Rives on the Road as ART works to identify a long term home for the organization. We feature local, regional and nationally touring bands ranging in genre from jazz, classical and bluegrass to blues, rock, jambands, funk and more.
